The family-friendly campground includes outdoor activities on ball courts and playgrounds, as well as a recreation hall with indoor favorites like darts and table tennis. Indian Mountain State Park makes a great home base for exploring multiple parks in East Tennessee. The 203-acre park offers fishing, paddling, and hiking. The campground offers 47 level asphalt pad sites with full hookups. Just across from the public beach, this campground offers fun for both RV and tent campers. When you’re not lounging on the adjacent beach, the campground offers a pool to help you cool off after a day in the sun. In fact, it’s a mere five miles from just about everything in town! Restaurants, amusement parks and shops, and even a zoo are all readily available right next to the beach. Dismals Canyon Campground offers various primitive campsites to give a rustic feel to the campers. Non-hunters are allowed camping here, but require a permit from the Bankhead Ranger District Office.
